Century Martial Arts

WORLD LEADER IN MARTIAL SPORTS SINCE 1976

Century was founded in 1976. Although we were on the small side back then – just one man working out of his garage – we've since grown into a world leader in martial arts equipment. Along the way, Century has been responsible for some major innovations in the industry.

We were one of the first martial arts companies to create a website, allowing our customers to easily place orders and access digital resources. Century has also designed some of the most famous and iconic pieces of martial arts equipment, such as the Wavemaster®, and the BOB® "poor Bob". BOB® dolls frequently appear in TV shows and movies, including 'The Office', 'Deadpool', 'Justified', 'Horrible Bosses', 'Parks and Rec', 'Whiskey Tango Foxtrot' and 'Elementary' to to name just a few!

OWNED AND OPERATED BY MARTIAL ARTISTS

One of the reasons Century is so passionate about what we do is that many of our employees are martial artists themselves. Our founder, Mike Dillard, won two national karate championships during his time as a competitor. Some Century employees own or instruct martial arts schools, or spend their after-work hours and weekends competing and training.

In 2005, Century took its employees' commitment to martial arts a step further and converted two rooms in the company's headquarters into training studios. Century Martial Arts Club employees can take martial arts classes during lunch or after work, and, with certified instructors, actually advance to belt degrees.

This is especially important to us, as Century manufactures most of the belts we sell on site, at our headquarters in Oklahoma City. Because we train, we understand what it means to earn a belt. We take the same pride and dedication in making them as you do in wearing them.

BONUS: Most of the time, when Century releases a new product, whether it's headgear, mitts or a training bag, before it goes to market, a prototype is tested by the Century Martial Arts Club. The new equipment takes quite a beating! If anyone finds any issues, the product goes back to the drawing board. Then when a new prototype is ready, it is tested again. The process ensures that our products are "martial arts tested and approved."
